Happy 1st Birthday Brody and Findley!!!

I can't believe my babies are ONE!! Not officially -- they are still 11 mo until this coming Thursday -- but we celebrated with family yesterday!
Big sister I think has a little Aunt Lisa in her - a LOT actually!! but she immediatly turned into the party planner adding to the decorations and turning their party into a dress-up theme handing out costumes to whomever walked through the door!!!
Some of the guests in their costumes!!!
Brody opening his first present - Both he and Findley were really into the first present and then were very distracted throughout the rest!! They got a fun new wagon - I can pull them around the neighborhood or restrain them (it's got BUCKLES!!) in their own house!! ;)
They loved hearing us sing to them and clapped for themselves!
Okay, so once agian a little out of order - presents, cake, no cake, presents, more cake.....A new hammering toy that my nephew thoroughly enjoyed!!
The "remote" to their first remote control car. That rubbery tip sure feels good on my teeth!!!
Helping daddy put together their new bike!!! Look at those chins!! They are drooling like crazy again!!!
Okay, here's the cake again and even the cake itself is probably not going to be in order ???? Both boys were very hesitant at first. I had to force some in their mouth before they would try it! Then they were ready to go!!!
Back to presents ;) Brody trying out the new bike!
Findley sporting a new outfit after cake and trying out the wagon!
Trying out the remote control car again! I think it's a little beyond them how it all works right now but they sure do like it!!!
Findley testing the horn on his bike. He can push himself backwards on it but not sure about going forwards!? I think he did this when he first started to crawl also????
Happy Birthday Brody and Findley! We love you so much! What an exciting year it has been and so much more to come!!!! We will continue to celebrate throughout the week.....at school and here at the house. Lots of hugs and kisses!!

Thanksgiving Desserts!!!

Friday after Thanksgiving my cousin Leslie and her husband had the Rolf family over for desserts and coffee. It was a wonderful time with delicious food and so much fun getting to visit with everyone.
Findley sitting at the big kid table!!
We also had birthday cake to celebrate my Uncle Lester's birthday!!
The lil' guys were so good! It was their nap time but they had a fantastic time playing together and we had a great time watching them all interact and mingle!!
Abby and Findley admiring each others pacifiers!!
Findley taking a quick snooze, I think sugar induced!!!
Brody and Ian sat so still here on the couch while Ian's dad fed them ice cream!
Findley was very pleased with my cousin Brian's choices of snacks for him - frosted sugar cookies, brownies, and fudge - I think an apple and a piece or two of cheese got in their also!!!
Aaron, Ainsley and Evan enjoying their treats! Boy did my kids get my sweet tooth!! Both sides of my family enjoy their desserts but especially the Rolf side it seems!! Once when I was sick my Grandma Rolf brought me a king size Kit Kat and told me that made her feel better when she felt like I was!!!! I think it worked! ;) Every now and then I would see Ainsley downstairs re-visiting this table to try one more goodie!!!
Brody and Gary
Granny and the boys! Thank you so much for having us Leslie and Keith!!! We had so much fun seeing ALL of the family! Hope we didn't leave too much of a mark on your house! ;) Look forward to our next party in January!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!! Dallas Turkey Trot

In hopes of keeping a bit of my sanity raising three small chilren I have begun to run again. I started taking a class through RunOn and have LOVED IT!! It is such a good outlet for me and helps me keep up my energy levels to keep up with my children!!! (That's me with the white cap and orange jacket around my waist) My sister has also started running so all three of us (myself, brother and sister) ran in the Turkey Trot Thanksgiving morning. We completed the 8 mile and are training for the 1/2 marathon at White Rock in Dec. Stephen will be going for the full marathon!!!
Taking a little water in....
Cool view - we started at City Hall ran a little through downtown Dallas, across the Trinity and up a BIG hill into Oak Cliff and then home! WHEW! I didn't get any pictures after this sadly of the rest of our day!!! I was WORN out!!! After the race we went by Baylor Hospital to visit Ryan's mom and dad. His dad's recovery is going very well and hope that he will be checking out in the next day or so!! It was great to see him! We then went back to my parents house for turkey dinner and watched lots of football, worked several puzzles and just enjoyed each others company. It was such a good day!! We ALL slept very well last night and continue on today partying with the Rolf clan (my mom's side of the family) - cousins, aunts, uncles and lots of little ones!!!!
Happy Thanksgiving to you all!!!!

Schwartz' Part 2

We can't get enough of the Schwartz'!!! We miss them so much! They came over Wednesday for the day since know one had school. We did shaving cream painting, decorating Thanksgiving cookies and did a baking soda/vinegar science experiment. Mason and my sister also came over and we had such a good time. One busy house, but a great time!!! :)
The Mad Scientist at work!!!
Trey having his own shaving cream fun - shaving!!!
Mamma and her boys!

Day with the Schwartz'

On Tuesday our old neighbors were around the area so they stopped in for a quick visit. We all spent most of the time outside and it was so nice!
We raked leaves and did lots of jumping/sliding into them!!
Findley woke up a littler later from nap so he got to eat lunch outside.
Madison and Ainsley cllimbing the tree
Brody and Findley playing ball
Findley and Madison - The big kids are so sweet with the boys. They can't keep their hands off of them!!!!
Ainsley doing her trapeze tricks! Granny, she did this one all by herself! All that practice at your house!!!
The boys are putting EVERYTHING in their mouth these days so it was really nice just to let them roam the backyard and know not every leaf would be put in their mouth!!!
McKenzie and Findley
When they first got to our house the boys were sleeping. Trey LOVES the boys. He was very restrained in not going to wake them up - so we thought - after a short bit I heard one of the boys awake but thought for sure he would go back to sleep. After about thirty minutes we went in their room to find Trey IN Brody's bed. He had rounded up all the pacifiers under their cribs for them and was just entertaining!!! Brody was not happy after I came in the room and then left again to of course get the camera to take a picture!!
The boys looking out the window waiting for our guests to arrive ;)!!
Brody and Findley love the piano. They play it really nicely and just dance along as they play their tune!!
