Friends....

The Day School had a summer playdate up at the church that we went to this morning.... Some friends of ours have an older son (Ainsley's age) and a daughter (the boys age) We traded Ainsley's old bows (she won't wear them anymore :( says they are for "babies") for a demolition/construction Little People set! Ainsley, Brody and Findley loved playing with it this afternoon!!! and here is Hadley, their youngest child. I think Brody and Hadley are fond of each other!!! When they see each other they get the biggest smile, start waving at each other and then go in for a big hug!!! Too cute!

Outing to the big pool

This was the first time I've taken the kids to the pool by myself. I think it will just take some practice.....and lots of patience and energy!!! ;) Findley got sunscreen in his eye and had some sort of reaction - his face got all red and splotchy - a little concerning. Then both boys when they got in the baby pool suddenly started screaming and grabbing themselves. It was like the water was burning their skin or something? The life guards were great - when they saw me shooting the hose down my boys pants to rinse them off!!! - they were very concerned and came to test the water. Just a little added excitement!!! They added some baking soda (I think?) to the water and then they seemed okay? We'll see what happens next time!! :)

Reading Nook/Tents

Ainsley got a little tent out we have and set it up with pillows, blankets and books - everyone thought it was a great idea and enjoyed it one way or another (reading or wrestling!!) Brody had such a funny sense of humor! and he loves getting a reaction - we may be cursing this some day but it is too funny right now!!! We were getting situated in the car to go somewhere and he started doing this trick with his ball. We all laughed so it was done over and over and over - he was very pleased with himself!!!

Performances!!!

Ainsley always enjoys putting on shows for whoever will watch ;) She had her first formal performance a few weeks ago after a ballet camp she took. She is very into the role of directing/teaching now. She and Abigail put together an impressive little song & dance after just a short time practicing Captivated audience member!

Sew Fun!!!!

I don't feel old but I feel like sometimes I act "old-ish" Ryan asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday...my answer - lock myself in my room and play with my sewing machine!!! So that is what I did :) I'm having so much fun....

Lisa and mom.... It was the funniest thing watching the boys try to get cake wherever and from whomever they could!!! I think Uncle Stephen was the favorite lap!! Lisa & Mason (my sister & nephew) They also loved the candles!!!! #2 is going to be a fun celebration!!! Ryan brought me my favorite breakfast - donuts!! - coffee and beautiful flowers + a basket of spa goodies! LOVE my family and friends!!! Thanks for making my day so special!!!
