Museum of Nature and Science

Killer Bees - Ainsley and Mason. While my nephew was staying with us we went out to the Museum of Nature and Science. It was such a good outing!!! After the merger of a couple museums in the area and some rebuilding the Museum is at it's best! We had so much fun and could have easily stayed for another 3 or 4 hours. Firefighters in action!
Findley giggled and giggled the whole time we were here!! Climbing through the spider webs The climbing wall. This was the area next to the baby play area. There was a 1/2 wall seperating the two so I could watch everyone at the same time!
Water Play area There was a farm area where they could ride tractors, plants seeds and pick theri vegetables Planting her seeds Brody and Findley LOVED the soft play area for 0-2 aged babies. There is a place right next to it for the older kids so everyone was happy at the same time!!!
Digging for fossils and dionosaur bones. There were some large sand areas with shovels and brushes to discover buried bones and fossils! We could have stayed in this area alone for half of the day!! Measuring her find! Mason brushing off the bone he dug up!! Circus mirrors!

Brody and Findley 8 Months

Well....almost 8 months. They are both scooting/crawling everywhere!! Brody will pull up to his knees on anything he can get a good grip on! Including extra skin hanging off my arms!!! OUCH! That should motivate me to go lift some weights! HA! If something is in his way he just goes up and over and keeps crawling!!! They are both sitting well. I can leave them on their own sitting pretty much, although, I make sure if they do wobble over there are no hard toys in the way!!! They enjoy sitting and LOVE standing but do need you close by while standing still. When you try and put them down after standing they will lock their legs hoping you won't put them down!! Brody is a very efficient crawler! If you walk by him and he wants you he will chase after you....very quickly!!! We had to go for a sick check up for Ainsley and I had them look at Brody b/c he had a runny nose. Brody was fine but they did weigh him and he was 18.5 lbs!!! I'm sure Findley is very close around that number also. They go in again for a check up at 9 months and to get their flu shot!!!

Henderson Reunion

Ryan grew up in Henderson, Texas. One of his classmates he grew up with and was good friends with came to visit us with her two children(Chris Albrecht)We had such a wonderful time. Sat night we went out to another classmate of theirs house (Michael Plumber) and met another family there that they also grew up with. (Matt Silvey) It was a wonderful time out at the pool, grilling hamburgers and just enjoying their company. This was the first time Ainsley really went wild swimming. She was telling her dad to move out further away because she wanted to SWIM!!!! Ainsley and Kiersten Albrecht Ainsley and Meg Silvey Everyone was so helpful with the boys. Brody is drawn to any bottle like object. I was coming to clean his nose the other day and had his bottle of saline and he ripped it out of my hands and started sucking (thankfully the lid was on!!) He is equally drawn to beer bottles!!! I'm SURE it is because he thinks it is milk!!!!

Me and my boys!!

Ainsley was taking these pictures and then she wanted a picture of us and her three children. She "birthed" Mark when I had the boys and then she has had two more children since then!!!! (her three dolls)

Ainsley's 4 year old check up

Last Wed Ainsley had her 4 year old check up. My dad came and watched the boys so I could focus on Ainsley. This was a doozy of an appointment and we knew she was getting 4 shots. I wanted my hands free to do whatever I could to make it easiest on her. She has been talking about these 4 shots since she found out at her three year old checkup that she would be getting these when she turned four!! She was ssssssooooooo BRAVE - she sat on my lap, looked up at the ceiling and laughed when she got the shots. She informed me as I was repeating the story to someone that she wasn't laughing because it was funny!!!!

New Toys

The boys are definantly wanting to move much more and not be in one place for very long. We had lent a tunnel we had to Greenhill so we went to pick it up to use again while they are at this stage of exploration. It was so good to see everyone and they gave us a few more toys to play with for the boys until school starts again! The boys are in heaven and Ainsley has had a lot of fun also!!! They love standing at this activity center! They look so big!!!
A little out of order of course,.......this was after our busy morning - we went to A's swim lesson (boys slept about 5 minutes in the car), drove over to Greenhill to pick up toys to kill time before we were going over to a friends house. We met a new friend here in Richardson. The mom worked for Fossil but is now staying home and also has twin girls who are 6 months and an older daughter who is 5. We had a wonderful time and so excited that they are so close to us. Anyway, they fell asleep in the car leaving our friends house, I woke them when we got home to eat and then put them back in bed. They slept from 2-6!!!!! and then went down for the night again at 7:30. I love this picture! I have the exact picture of Ainsley when she was little and climbed through her tunnel.
