More fun in McMahan

Not sure what I did with this one but am doing good to get it up.....will have to fool with this later!!!

Christmas in McMahan

We left around lunchtime on Christmas Day and headed down to Ryan's grandparents house outside of Austin. It was a wonderful day seeing everyone and the weather was beautiful for the kids to enjoy the outdoors!!! Brody and Findley enjoyed all the "boy toys" everyone had. Ainsley is the only grandaughter so far...... Findley having a chat with Great Mother Brody reading books with Reed and Danielle. It was so nice how comfortable the boys were with everyone. We sadly don't see everyone often enough but they just jumped in everyone's lap and would talk to anyone that would listen!!! I never know what they are going to do until we are there!!! Findley hanging out with Grandaddy Grandmother's Christmas plate from the kids. Ainsley's foot print was the reindeer's face and the antlers were Brody and Findley's handprints. Take special note of the crazy guy in the background (left side) LOVE YOU JEB!! ;) Brody reading with Amanda

Christmas Morning at our House

I loved waking up at our house with the kids Christmas morning and enjoyed the exciting and relaxed morning! Just to be in the moment with them and be so thankful for all we have been given - LIFE! Findley has the cutest bed hair when he wakes up. and for the first 15 minutes he is still in la la land - too funny!! They all got straw cups for Christmas - the boys look so big drinking out of theirs! They are as big as their head but love being like their big sister!!!! The boys got some of their first art supplies - first markers and stampers!! Ainsley got a shovel from Santa like she asked for and couldn't wait to start digging!!! Hope everyone had a Merry, Merry Christmas!!!!!

Christmas Eve Service

I have to constantly tell myself "enjoy where you are - the stages and ages of children!" We went to the 5:30 children's service. It is really enjoyable, lots of singing, the story of the birth of Jesus is read and really done up nicely for the kids to enjoy. The 7:30 candlelight service was sounding so nice to me though - quiet, beautiful singing, me being able to drift on into my own world....I know there will be a day though - way to soon - that I will probably accidentally be at the children's service, my children out with their friends and be teary-eyed through the whole service remembering when they were little and we enjoyed this time together...on their level. So for now I savor the moment and enjoy!!!! Findley blowing kisses Brody chasing after his brother.... An Ainsley shot.... My last attempt at the perfect Christmas card picture! They looked so darn cute in their holiday outfits but they once again all had individual plans - which deep down inside I'm really happy for!! I feel so blessed to have these three little ones in our lives and love their unique ways at enjoying the world around them!!!

Christmas Eve

We went by my parents on Christmas Eve to drop off our presents since we would not celebrate with them until New Years Day. After arriving they decided we could all wait to do presents until then so the trip was not needed but we had a wonderful time hanging out in the backyard, wearing everyone out, enjoying the nice weather picnicing, and keeping OUR house clean! HA! This lawn chair was just the right height for the boys to climb up on - they were so proud of themselves!! Building their immune systems!!! I'm saying this a little hesitant but Ryan, Ainsley and I have just gotten over some sort of stomach bug and amazingly it doesn't seem like the boys are going to get it......I know I'm cursing myself saying it out loud but.....we'll see. I think Snowflake loved having two other beings her size in the cage with her!! She was so friendly with the boys and not intimidated at all! Why, oh, why? I guess cold metal feels good on their teeth? I can only keep so much out of their mouths!! Findley swinging with Daddy! Ainsley and Snowflake

Balls, Balls, Balls

These boys LOVE Balls!!! Uncle Owen got them this toy and they are really enjoying it! It has an air pump that blows them up in the air; sometimes they pop out and sometimes they go back down the ramp and out again! It is so funny watching their face and seeing them try to react and catch some of them! Thanks Uncle Owen!!!

Ainsley's new toys.....

Ainsley got a science kit that she has had so much fun with today. It has a microscope and all sorts of experiements - she explored gelatin and water today and had a blast doing it!!! These were some glasses Ryan had brought home from Fossil for his Halloween costume. Ainsley found them and proclaimed they were her science glasses! Where do they get this from? So they are now her safety goggles for doing her "science" with!!!! These are some really cool building toys she got - this was a daddy daughter project and it now is our center piece for the table!
