Our Week.....

We are so going to miss the Schwartz' (our neighbors) when they move. Hopefully not until May so we have a little time left to enjoy having them just down the street. They are moving about an hour away to be closer to Richie's work. Here are Madison and Ainsley tending to Brody. Ainsley pulling Trey around the yard in the wagon McKenzie holding Brody This was Findley's day to get to go outside with us. Brody chose to take a nap this time and Findley, after two hours of replacing pacifiers, rewrapping etc, got out of his! He had the most mischevious grin on his face whenever I would return to his crib! He won again!! My handsome boys ;)

Our week....

Ainsley has become very interested in the computer. I haven't done much with her but make sure she stays on the PBS or Noggin website!!! Like so many children you see these days she just takes off with the "clicker" and goes at it! Playing games, listening to music, printing out activities.. I think she'll soon be helping me! Getting ready for a painting project I'm dying for the boys to acknowledge each other! I think Brody was actually crying in this picture but kinda looks like he's laughing at Findley? My little extra terrestrial all bundled up! It has been so nice outside this week! We have spent many afternoon/evenings out in the backyard with our neighbors! The boys have loved it as do Ainsley and her friends!! It wasn't that cool but they like being bundled up. Ainsley LOVES her brothers! She rocked Brody to sleep the other day for me! If only she could carry them I would be set!!!

12 weeks

Ainsley must be going through a growth spurt of her own. She has ASKED me if she can lay down for a nap every other day or so. and tells us when she is ready for bed! When she does take her naps it is usually late when she realizes she'd like one so she'll rest and still be ready for bed a few hours later. This is how she fell asleep on the couch the other afternoon! She is getting so big and picking up new stuff everyday! She is so fun to hang out with and talk with (especially when there aren't a 100 other things going on at the same time!) Brody is full of smiles and always has his eyes open taking in the world around him!! Findley has lots of smiles also and is getting good using his hands to keep his pacifer in and holding on to some of his toys!

Ainsley's Music Program

Ainsley had her school music program over the weekend. She is fourth in from the right. It was really fun leading up to this as she would come home and perform the dances and new songs she was learning throughout the weeks. This was the grand finale of the program with all the classes singing together. Two of her fans - Granny and Papa - that came to watch her sing. Peeking in on one of her most loyal fans - her brother Brody. He gave her lots of smiles!!!

Weekend Excitement

Ainsley's good friend, Madison, from the neighborhood had her 4th birthday party this weekend. It was at a store called Build a Bear. They pick "fur" and then get to actually stuff the animal and make it come to life and dress them. It was super cute and she LOVED it!! This was Ainsley and Emma - a new friend she met at the party. Ainsley and our other neighbor Rosie Ainsley and Madison. Happy Birthday Madison!!! The birthday crew!

GREAT NEWS.....

For all you bloggers and those contemplating doing so...I just found out that there is a website www.blurb.com that will print and bind your blogs for you! I am so excited! I've been wondering if there was anyway to print it out since this is the only recording I've been able to do since the boys were born. It would be a shame to just maybe loose it one day. It is so much easier with the kids doing it via the computer versus having my pictures and accessories spread out on every flat surface in the house!! The books are very professional looking and super reasonable! Soooo excited!
Poor little lady!!! She has been worn out lately! She dropped her naps over the summer but seems to either be going through a growing spurt and needs extra rest or has a little cold? I went for a walk with her and she asked me if she could close her eyes. She was out just like old times!! Last time she rode her bike she fell off the sidewalk into the street. It left some impression on her - so she demanded she be buckled in and wear her bike helmet on this walk!!!! After our afternoon with the Wolfe's (see below) Ainsley was in aw of watching 8 year old Caroline climb the trees. After they left she couldn't wait to try it out. She was thrilled with herself and did it over and over and over and over.......She has demonstrated her new skill with anybody and everybody that comes near our house!!! So proud of herself!!! We ended the day with a visit from neighbors Greta and Samuel. Samuel LOVED the swing!!! It was a wonderful day to be outside - not so much today!!! Greta has been a life saver and often brings Samuel down to our house around 2:00 so I can go pick up Ainsley without having to get the boys out or wake them up from their naps!

A visit from the Wolfe's

This is Caroline who was in my 2 year old class at Parker Chase!!! We became friends with her family through this connection. Caroline's mom taught Kindergarten at Greenhill and was the one that introduced me to that school where I eventually taught. They have made three more additions to their family since we last saw them! It's been awhile!!! This is Curtis (2) and Meredith (4) swinging with Ainsley I didn't get any pictures of baby Ben who is 6 months. We had such a wonderful time visiting and playing!!!

11 weeks!

The boys are 11 weeks! Doing well - talking/smiling alot, sleeping about 5/6 hours at a time at night and just lots of fun! Findley hanging out on his tummy! Ainsley helping to motivat Brody to "LIFT THAT HEAD!"
Oops! he was really sitting up in this picture! Findley took a 3 1/2 hour nap yesterday! Must of had some growing to do!! So Ainsley and Brody and I went out in the backyard for a bit. It was perfect weather and Brody seemed to enjoy it. It gave me hope of what the Spring will be like - I can't wait!!!

A visit from Grandmother and Grandaddy!!

Ainsley and Brody hanging out with Grandaddy
I was trying to think of something special we could do with Ainsley while we had extra hands on board so I thought she would enjoy dinner at Magic Time Machine. Everyone graciously went along with my plan. When I called to make reservations they said they don't take them on the weekend but suggested being there at 5:30. We got there around 6 and waited a little over 2 hours!!! We decided we would just play it by ear - for sure it couldn't be THAT long? They had plenty to entertain you while you wait though. Ainsley and Ryan went to a Magic Show, Uncle Owen took her to get her face painted and there were lots of costumed employees to keep an eye out for. Ainsley was looking for Tinkerbell the whole time and was thrilled to get her picture taken with her!
Ainsley, Corey (a friend of Owen's from Lovers Lane UMC who has become a friend to us all!) Aand Uncle Owen Ainsley after she got her face painted. She was thrilled with this and was so cautious that no one got near her cheek to rub it off! She was very sad when she woke up the next morning and it had rubbed off all over her hand and sheets. Showing off her balloon elephant. Grandmother lulling Findley back to sleep. The boys were wonderful considering we were out for MUCH longer than we thought initially!!
It was a long evening. We were all worn out when we returned home. I think it was a hit though - Ainsley woke up the next morning asking "Can we go have lunch at the Magic Time Machine today?"

Happy Valentines Day!!

The boys and I went up to Ainsley 's school for her Valentine party! They were very good and slept the whole time but I was so anxious just waiting for them to both explode at the same time!!! We survived, although picture taking this time around was the furthest thing from my mind! I got this one quickly at home before she was about to change out of her clothes! Abigail and her little brother Logan and her mom came and spent Valentine's afternoon with us. We had a special lunch and the girls loved playing together. This was a real treat for Ainsley! I wish I had a picture of us at the end of the day. I was nursing the boys and I fell asleep, the boys fell asleep and Ainsley came and cuddled up beside us and she fell asleep! We were WORN OUT!

A visit from Auntie

Thanks Auntie for the delicious dinner and visit!!

10 weeks!
