Around the house

I never really noticed until we started wearing cooler shorts and dresses again that Ainsley's legs are scabbed, scratched and black and blue! She loves to hop, gallop and skip and seems to often get some bumps and bruises along the way. This was her prized scab she got the other night when she was saying good bye to Auntie and fell on the curb. She likes to use our computer chair as her wheel chair - so I pushed her around the house for a bit and we both got a good laugh. She also likes to pretend she has just delivered a baby (her dolls) she pushes and goes through the whole nine yards and then wants me to take her to her car in her "wheel chair" so she can go home! She remembers things that happened to me at the hospital that I don't!!! Quite the imagination and she loves the combination of babies and doctors and hospitals. She is intrigued by the doctor shows on tv whether they are delivering babies or performing surgeries - she wants to watch! We'll see if she has any medical callings in her future? The boys had a really rough night of sleep. We are trying to cut out the "dream feed" (waking them up at 10 for one last feed in hopes that they sleep longer!) So I think that threw them off a bit + they are starting a lot of new scooting and movement techniques that I think they could not stop doing even while sleeping! They were hammering their feet on the mattress in the middle of the night and just giggle at themselves! and then cry and then giggle....they finally settled down and looked so sweet how they had contorted their bodies and were snuggling with their blankets. I was afraid to take a picture after they were finally settled so I went to my next "baby" and took one of her! She looks so big to me especially when she is sleeping and her legs take up so much of her bed already!!!
We've been doing alot of walking in the early evenings and got out the carrier. Findley loved being in it and would just giggle and talk as the wind would blow and hearing the trees rustle. Brody is scooting forwards and Findley backwards - both are definantly starting to get around and see something from afar and do their best to make their way in that direction. I was feeding Findley his solids and had to get up to get something. I saw Brody eyeing his plate but thought for sure I would not be long and he wouldn't make his way that far. Well....when I returned he had the plate right in front of him and the spoon in his hand!!! DIG IN! What a proud look he had on his face!! We have loved being outside so much! I don't know why we had to officially wait for summer to do this since it is already so hot but we have so enjoyed it....we grilled and brought the boys outside and all ate on the patio and just hung out in the backyard until eveyone was worn out!!
