Estes Park - YMCA of the Rockies
This was a wonderful trip - lots of relaxing and enjoying the simplicity of the outdoors! The weather was great. Warm during the day but not quite sweating and cool at night. Never had to turn on the air condition and needed a jacket early morning and evening. PERFECT!
We drove and the kids did great considering we were in the car for 16 hours. We did break down and buy a DVD player for the car before we left but one DVD was enough to break up the day for them. We then drove through the night both going there and coming home so that they were sleeping for half of the drive.
We did lots of walking, climbing, exploring....went fishing, horseback riding.....did some arts and crafts and just enjoyed being with family. Slowly getting back to our daily routine here in Richardson....HOT,HOT,RICHARDSON!
Estes Park - YMCA of the Rockies
Ainsley and Mason enjoying the snow on our drive to the tundra. Ainsley would scream that it was so cold but couldn't help going back in for some more!!
Ainsley and Mason taking a rest with Granny and Papa.
Climbing rocks! Both kids loved climbing out here and got very good by the time we left!
Sweet cousins!!!
The view from our cabin.
Estes Park - YMCA of the Rockies
The Y was celebrating their 100th year of being in the Rockies. This was a statue they had added for the dedication. Ainsley and Mason were practicing their letters and had the YMCA chant down for the 16 hour car ride home!!
A day at the stables. This was always my favorite part of vacation! I didn't get to ride this time around. I felt sorry for the poor horse that would get me AND my two growing babies! I did the pony rides with Ainsley.
Ahhh, the pony ride. Ainsley was very excited about riding a horse and had been talking it up the whole way there. She got to pick out her pony - Star -and up she went.....then quickly down! She would not let go of my neck and while she was screaming the man in charge handed me the reins and said "Have fun and stay in this area!" She got down and we both walked Star a few times around the ring. We took Star back to his barn and Ainsley sat on this rock talking to her for the next hour while we waited for the others to return from their ride!
Uncle Stephen sharing his fishing knowledge with Ainsley! She stuck with it for a bit and then had much more fun carrying around the rubbery worms and talking/caring for them in the outdoors. We were all probably safer this way! She was a little out of control casting her line!!
A walk up to the tundra. We saw lots of little creature scurring around here.

16 1/2 weeks.....
It's a boy X 2!!!!!! Sorry to leave you all hanging. I was emotionally and physically exhausted by the end of our appointment!! (I've missed my regular nap the last two days!!) The babies are growing strong and had a healthy report!! They are each weighing in at 7oz.
Ainsley is so excited about "her boys"!!! This sonogram you can see one pretty good and the other is all feet and hands! There was a body there also when we were in the office!! ;)

Ainsley and her Babies....
We have a good neighbor that has a 4 month old. Ainsley has watched Greta take care of Samuel very closely and loves to visit with them. Greta very often had him in a carrier because that was the only way to get him to sleep for awhile. Ainsley was intrigued by this and every day since has tried to create one of her own. She now stuffs the babies under her shirt (that's the only reason she puts clothes on around the house )to carry them around the house and covers their heads with a blanket (just like Greta) so they can go to sleep!!
We are bringing crimped hair back in style!!! You saw it here first!! Ainsley got a haircut this weekend and had braids for awhile that left quite the impression!!!
A Visit with Silas, Aunt Bev and Uncle Bruce
This past Saturday we went out to Crandall, Texas to visit Aunt Bev and Uncle Bruce. We had the extra bonus of seeing Silas there also while his parents were out house hunting! Billy and Sarah, he was such a doll!!! He had lots to talk to us about and was all smiles and interaction!! Sorry we missed ya'll but plan to be there for his party! Excited to hear you found a new home for the three of you!!!
Ainsley and Uncle Bruce. Ainsley was in awe of all of Uncle Bruce's toasters and was just imagining all the cinnammon toast he could make at one time! Also, loved the new pop up trailer home! Her and her dolls could live out there for quite some time!!
Ainsley, Silas and Ryan reading a good book!
Riding a little horsey!!! Everyone got a turn at this! Ainsley loves that game thanks to her Grandaddy that played this with her since she was a baby! It's getting a little tougher as she gets bigger. She got flipped a couple times but I think it just made her more fond of this game! All giggles.
