Autumn at the Arboretum

I've been debating when to go out to the Arboretum and get some good fall pictures - trying to wait till it cools off! Not sure when that will happen though?? So we ventured out today. Ainsley didn't have school and Uncle Stephen offered to go with us. So off we went! They had all sorts of children's activities going on since it was a school holiday and they have special Mommy and Me Mondays through the Fall. This was Uncle Stephen and Ainsley enjoying a concert by Eddie Coker, children's musician/singer, and stopping for a little snack! I wish I got a picture of the whole lawn. There were strollers and children EVERYWHERE!!!! Lots of fun!
Ainsley trying to get as close as she can without falling in!! One hand holding on to Uncle Stephen for dear life and the other enjoying some cool water!
Uncle Stephen and Ainsley running under the fountains.
Pumpkins, Pumpkins everywhere. I think they said across the whole arboretum there were 20,000 pumpkins!! It was pretty unbelievable! I think Ainsley touched and picked up at least a 1,ooo of them!!
This was a maze made out of hay bales and lots of scarecrows all around! It was a great day and we are now home in our air conditioned house - worn out! We are having a wonderful "quiet time"!

Church Fall Festival

This is actually the last picture of the day. It had rained all morning and we were all a little damp. They were taken inside to change into misc dry clothes and threw theirs in the dryer!! These are some wonderful girls who usually watch the kids on Sundays and misc church events. While we worked they got to go through the festival with Ms. Lacey and Ms. Megan. Ainsley LOVES them both and are two favorite sitters to have over to the house!! There are usually a ton of boys and no girls - these are the only three girls in their age group. It just happened on this day it was ALL girls and no boys! They had a blast hanging out with each other!!
Ainsley's favorite I think was the powdered candy table!! Guess what color she liked best? It was sort of like sand art. They would pour all sorts of colored sugar into a test tube, look at the great designs and then pour it all right into their mouth! YUMMY? Then start all over!!

Painting and decorating the "choosen" pumpkin!
This was the first picture of the day! They were so excited that it was the three of them and they had the place to themselves!!

The Neighborhood.....

My neighborhood playgroup threw us a surprise Baby Shower! It was so much fun and they did so many neat things for us to help welcome these boys into this world!! Cute clothes, some of our cloth diapers, a disposable diaper "cake" for those first weeks, the cutest sign, hand painted, to put in our yard when they are born, delicious food, homemade cake and on and on! This is a ribbon they gave Ainsley - she was so proud to wear it around the house!!! We were thrilled to have them join in our excitement as we wait in anticipation of their arrival! I'll have to send more pictures when I get them - one of the girls did an excellent job of taking pictures also while I helped myself to seconds and thirds of food and cake!! Another crazy Wednesday night with Elliot our neighbor!!!

29 Weeks!! 8 more to go!!

I had another sonogram last week and got a good report on all!! The babies are estimated to be 2.11oz and 2.15oz!! No signs of premature labor etc. We just keep on trucking!! I haven't had time to get a picture for this one! Dec 7 is now our official scheduled c-section if nothing happens before that!!

A Visit from Grandmother and Grandaddy!!

Ryan's parents came in town for the weekend. It was great to get a visit in and they were a HUGE help around the house as we try to prepare things for the boys. Sat night we went over to UTD for a carnival/Richardson Symphony Concert/Fireworks. It was so pleasant outside. Ainsley was actually cold and had an extra pair of pants on her arms to keep her warm!!! She all of a sudden has become not fond of fireworks. Loved them in July, but would not have anything to do with them this time around. Note her face in the next picture! Yes, this is my favorite maternity shirt!!! I think I have it on in every picture on this blog!!! She was beyond worn out when we left!!! Home for a good night's sleep!!

Getting Ready for the Boys!!!

Ainsley helping Ryan put together a new fan for the boys' room. Ainsley helping Grandmother tie the bumper into the cradle. I wish I could have gotten a more natural pose of this but she wouldn't let me. We had a painter come paint her room and the baby's room and she was in awe of his work. She sat on this step stool and watched EVERYTHING he did!!! He would go out back to wash off brushes and such and she was two steps behind him - poor guy!!! She says she might be a painter when she grows up!

What would we do without friends??

Ainsley reading with Rufus. He is a church friend and was in her class last year but has moved to a school closer to them. We still love to visit and have playdates!! This was a playdate with Lilly. She is the daughter of a friend from 7th and 8th grade - Emily Lobe - Welch!!! My dad was subbing and ran into her teaching at St. Rita and we got reunited!! It has been very fun catching up with her!! And our good 'ole neighbor Elliot!! He has two older sisters who have dance for two hours on Wed nights so we thought he might enjoy some playtime of his own and had him stay with us!!!
