Somewhere over the Rainbow

It was the calm after the storm. My nephew was staying with us for the week, I was loading up the whole crew for Ainsley's swim lessons at 8:30 in the morning, we had lots of visitors and friends over, Ainsley & Brody had temperatures. .....I loaded everyone up to go to the doctor thinking for sure it was an ear infection. That is what my kids seem to get when they are congested. Dr. Mathieu said their ears and chests were clear. That evening Ainsley fell asleep on the couch instead of eating dinner (not normal) didn't even want to open a birthday present Auntie had brought by for her. She then woke up and started vomitting - all over the couch! She got up and said she felt better and went on her way!? We walked outside to get some fresh air and say good-bye to Auntie and there was this beautiful rainbow outside!!!! AHHHHH...

My Messy Eaters!!!

The boys are eating everything and anything!! They love their finger foods and are working on sippy cups. They ALWAYS are attempting to make things go a little faster and trying to grab the plates/bowls from me!!!

2nd Week of Swim Lessons

Ainsley did super this year with her swim lessons. She was swimming on her back and going off the diving board!

Mason And Ainsley

Mason and Ainsley having fun on the swings!!

A busy weekend!!

This sums up Sunday evening! It has been such a fun past couple of weeks and weekends catching up with friends and family but we were exhausted!!! I can't remember the last time when Brody fell asleep like this! He looks so big in comparison to infant pictures we have of him sleeping with us on the couch!! Brody has a fascination with wheels. Ainsley's stroller, cars, wagons - he flips them over and fiddles with the wheels!!!

The Nasher Sculpture Garden

The Nasher Sculpture Garden holds a special children's day on the first Saturday of the month. It is FREE and they have scavenger hunts, art projects, storytime, music and of course the cool sculptures! It was a tad hot but we will definantly head back in Sept/Oct when things cool off. Mason, Aunt Lisa and Ainsley working on their art projects! Ainsley used up the last of a toilet paper roll when we got home and ran and brought it to me and screamed "Mom, I'm going to make a sculpture!" It was pretty cool to see in this short outing what she had gotten out of seeing this new venue!! They had sculpters that you could watch and they were really hands on letting the kids touch and learn about the materials in which they used! We took the long way back to our car to take in a few more sights, water fountains, statues and a wedding that was just letting out and the bride and groom were driving away in a horse and buggy. Ainsley got a HUGE kick out of seeing this!! Aunt Lisa and Brody taking in the sights!! The Ross' on Ross!

Enjoying the outdoors....even at 105!!!

Now that the boys are sitting up we had a great time in our blow up pool for the first time (their first time - Ainsley is a pro!!) The only way to be outside is with some body of water!!!
Ainsley was trying to get her bathing suit on "all by herself" . She couldn't reach the back of her neck to tie the top so she just looped it around her neck and made a tie in the front! I'm sure this is an up and coming style for Summer of 2009! She is always one step ahead of all of us!!! Thank goodness for the great shade we have in the backyard!!
Brody is always crawling over someone or something!!! This is his new look also - sucking on the sides of his upper lip - looks like a snapping turtle!!!
