Mom and Ainsley Thursday

Our friend Abigail came over today with her mom (she left her little brother at her grandma's) so the girls were on their own!! We threw down a shower curtain and gave them some shaving cream and the fun began!

Happy Mother's Day/Cinco de Mayo

Ainsley had a Mother's Day/Cinco de Mayo program at school. It was really cute and then we had snacks together they had made and a beautiful art project for Mother's Day! I feel so lucky to be this sweet little girls mother! Ainsley and her girlfriends Camryn and Julia Ainsley and her best bud Madi who is most likely moving over the summer :(

Around the House this week.....

We got a new toy! Another hand me town from my Moms of Multiples group! Brody loves this toy! It is definantly an eye popper also! A little over stimulating for me but he can't get enough of it! He can stand up in it and loves to be able to look around and "move". Findley enjoys it for a short while and then needs a break. He's more of a swinging in the hammock type right now! Just hangs out and watches and smiles at everything!! I'm dwindling on breastfeeding. I've let go of one feeding and are giving the boys formula. I'm proud I've made it to 5 months and will continue doing what I can. I haven't hung them out to dry - I do still hold them to feed them their bottles but was impressed that they wanted to hold on to them also so I took a quick break for a photo op! Brody and Findley in their surf shirts and big boy shorts! They are ready for our beach vacation this summer!

Happy Mother's Day to ME!

I think all good celebrations should be a week long....I surprised Ryan last Friday with an overnight out. My parents came and watched the kids and we went out for dinner and stayed at a hotel downtown. It was wonderful although I was a little pathetic and couldn't sleep.....I missed my children!!!! It was very nice and relaxing though to do things at our pace for a bit. I was refreshed the next day and so excited to see Ainsley, Brody and Findley!! We took this picture Sunday morning when we got home. I was enjoying the relaxed pace even after we got home on Sunday so I laid with Findley and took a nap. Sunday night when it was time to go to bed I could not get to sleep until around 1:00 in the morning. That is the first time since the boys were born that the second my head hit the pillow I did not fall fast asleep! I think the night out was just what we needed! Ryan's parents came in town Sunday evening and we went out to eat to celebrate Mother's Day with Diane and her belated birthday. Sorry that I didn't get any pictures. They were a great help while here also giving me some extra time to get caught up on a few things around the house. Love ya'll & Thank you!!

Ainsley and Mommy's Thursday together

We went and bounced at Jump Town (a building full of different bounce houses). The last time we went here I was very pregnant and not able to do anything. So it was extra fun for me to get to jump myself with her! I got to be the one helping other children through because their moms were pregnant this time around!! Ainsley and I enjoying lunch out on the patio We found a new homemade ice cream shop - Harry's Homemade Ice Cream. I got Girl Scout Thin Mint and Ainsley got Blue Vanilla with Marshmallows in a cone that was chocolate covered and had pink and orange sprinkles covering it! That's my girl!! It was the fastest melting ice cream. We both made a mess. My hands looked just like hers but covered in lime green but of course we still had to manage a picture.

Brody & Findley 5 1/2 months

They are both rolling and scooting everywhere! Many friends have nicknamed Brody - "Bright-eyed Brody" His eyes are always open....very wide! They were even bigger than usual when he would spin this ball. I wish I got it on video!! He was very impressed by this toy!! Checking each other out. It looks like Brody has a tooth that is about to pop through his gums. He hasn't been too fussy but has this drool CONSTANTLY pouring from his mouth! I found a duck that when squeezed gives a squeak. Brody loves it and always laughs so this is my new photography tactic to get them to look at the camera at the same time!
